Precipitation
Precipitation:
Precipitation is the process when the clouds grouped together gets so condensed and heavy that the air cannot hold it together and water gets released as rain, snow, hail or sleet.
In water cycle process after the condensation stage, the water droplets inside the clouds formed grow into larger droplets by colliding with each other. Eventually the droplets turn so large that they cannot be suspended in the cloud. When this happens, they fall out of the clouds as precipitation. If the cloud's temperature is below freezing, they will fall as hail or snow else as rain.
Most precipitation occurs as rain. Approximately 505,000km3 of water falls as precipitation each year.
